At Gray Matters, we intimately understand the challenges of a child who is underperforming at school, who is labelled as ADD/HD – both to the child and their family. We believe that every child should be given the opportunity to reach their potential - and we approach this goal with missionary zeal.

While stimulants such as Ritalin produce a temporary improvement in the ability to concentrate, they are frequently a “band-aid” simply masking the underlying issue – namely a difficultly in reaching and maintaining a desired mental state. Through neurofeedback we show children how to reach and maintain a mental state appropriate to their needs.

 (We acknowledge the vast benefits that have been shown with stimulant drugs with focus and attention, but we see them as a last resort to be used at a minimum - too often they are offered as the only option.)

Our state-of the art equipment allows for a revolutionary treatment model, allowing children to conduct the bulk of their sessions in the home environment. This fits our goal of lower treatment costs and the ability to treat more children.
